The NEAR Young Leaders Forum 2023 took place in the Metaverse from July 31 to August 11. Organized by the NEAR Secretariat, this event saw the active participation of over 100 young adults from six countries: China, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Russia, and Vietnam. Through their unique avatars, participants engaged in insightful discussions and exchanged perspectives on matters concerning regional peace and common development.

The Secretariat disclosed on August 11 that among the four English sessions (education, culture and tourism, environment, and youth policy) comprising a total of eight teams, the title of Best Forum Team was conferred upon two teams from the environment and youth policy sessions, which were comprised of 13 participants. Among the Korean sessions comprising a total of four teams, the title of Best Forum Team was conferred upon one team from the culture and tourism session, which was comprised of 2 participants. Additionally, two individuals were recognized as the Best Panel Moderators.

The 17 distinguished individuals, comprising the Best Forum Teams and the Best Panel Moderators, have been invited to Korea from September 19 to 22. During this period, they will partake in the award ceremony and the appointment of NEAR Supporters, as well as engage in diverse cultural activities.

In his closing words, Secretary-General LIM Byung-jin expressed, "I trust that this forum has furnished our youth with a unique chance to grasp NEAR's vision for regional peace and common prosperity through collaborative exchange. It is my hope that they will return to their respective communities and work together to establish a world rooted in mutual understanding and cooperation."
