Pingyao Ancient City

Pingyao Ancient City was established during the reign of King Xuan of Zhou (B.C.827~ B.C.782). It is located in Pingyao County, central Shanxi Province, and is one of the well-preserved examples of four ancient cities. It is also one of the two cities to be listed as a World Heritage site by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. Pingyao Ancient City was named the most complete extant city by the World Record Association in 2009. In July 13, 2015, Pingyao County become a national 5A class tourist attraction.

Yungang Grottoes

The Yungang Grottoes are located in Southern part of Wuzhou Mountain, 17km away towards the West to the city of Datong in Shanxi province.
They are one of the biggest grottoes in China, as the site is composed of 45 major grottoes and 252 grottoes with more than 51,000 Buddha statues. Yungang Grottoes are one of the four most important caves in China. The others are Mogao Caves in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, Yungang Caves in Datong, Shanxi Province, and Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang, Henan Province.
The Yungang Grottoes were listed by the State Council among the first group of State Priority Protected Sites in 1961. On December 14, 2001, the Yungang Grottoes were made a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Wutai Mountain

Wutai Mountain is located in Xinzhoushi, Shanxi Province, and is top among the four most famous Buddhist mountains with Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang Province, Jiuhua Mountain in Anhui Province and Emei Mountain in Sichuan Province Wutai Mountain is also one of the 5 Buddhist Holy sites along with Lumbini in Nepal Bodhgaya, Sarnath : Uttar Pradesh, and Kushinagar in India.

House of the Huangcheng Chancellor

House of the Huangcheng Chancellor in Jinchengshi, Yangchengxian of Shanxi Province is the former residence of Chen Tingjing of Wenyuange in Qing Dynasty.
36 thousand ㎡ in total area, the place is divided into Inner City (Douzhuju Residence) and outer city. And the Royal library is goldish and shiny, and Zhongdaozhuang is standing up in high. This is called the most culturally standing tribe in the northern part of China.
