History

  • Hunan Province, also known as Xiang, an abbreviated name, was part of the Chou Dynasty during the Spring and Autumn periods.
  • During the Qin Dynasty the province was part of Changshajun and part of the Huguangxing Province during the Won dynasty.
  • Hunan Province was established in the Qing Dynasty.

  • Location : the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, the vast majority of the territory in the south of Dongting Lake
  • Geomorphology : East, South, West on three sides around the mountains, the central hilly ups and downs, the northern lake basin plains, fertile wild thousands of miles, forming the northeast opening of the asymmetrical horseshoe terrain.
  • Climate : subtropical monsoon climate, four distinct seasons.
