History

  • Qinghai Province, located in the northwest of China, is situated in the northeastern part of the "Qinghai-Tibet Plateau," also known as the "Roof of the World." The province derives its name from Qinghai Lake, China's largest inland saltwater lake.
  • The province is known as the “Source of Rivers” or the “Three-River Source” because it is the origin of the Changjiang River, the Yellow River, and the Lancang River. It also holds the prestigious title of the “Water Tower of China.”
