A bus service between Bayan-Ulgii Province, Mongolia and Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan was opened on June 15 as the result of the conclusion of an agreement between Mongolia and Republic of Kazakhstan. The Russian Federation allowed for border passage as part of the active operation of the service last week. Buses to Almaty depart from Olgii City every Wednesday and Saturday.
