NEAR Secretary-General Is Invited to a Luncheon Hosted by Liu Gean, Party Secretary of Zhangjiajie2024-10-28

On October 22, NEAR Secretary-General engaged in a luncheon at the invitation from Liu Gean, Party Secretary of Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province, and exchanged ideas on promoting cooperation between the NEAR Secretariat and Zhangjiajie City.
Mr. Lim expressed his gratitude to Mr. Liu for making time despite his busy schedule and for his warm hospitality. He then congratulated him on the Subcommittee on Innovation Plus being permanently hosted in Zhangjiajie City. Through this event, Zhangjiajie will have a great opportunity to promote itself and proudly showcase its progress in pursuing in high-quality and green development to local government in Northeast Asia, Mr. Lim said.
Mr. Liu provided details on the current status of Zhangjiajie City, emphasizing the special connection between Korea and Zhangjiajie by describing it as the most popular region visited by Korean tourists.
Alongside Mr. Lim, the meeting was joined by Borisov Kim, Deputy Prime Minister of Sakha Republic; Kirillin Gavril, Minister for External Relations and Peoples’ Affairs of the Sakha Republic; Park Sang-jin, Consul at the Consulate-General of South Korea in Wuhan; Kim Yong-jae, Officer of International Cooperation at the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO); Noh Seong-hun, Director at the Wuhan Office of the KTO; and Choi Ju-hwa, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the NEAR Secretariat.
During their stay in Zhangjiajie, Mr. Lim and the participants took part in a cultural and industrial tour, visiting the Qiankun Health Industry Complex, Xiang Amei Food Co. Ltd., and Chinese Tujia Textile Art Museum.
