
Kamchatka Region has been selected as one of the pilot regions to introduce a care system for the elderly.
According to the Ministry of Social Development and Labor of Kamchatka region, the new care system includes nursing services where nurses make regular home visit, social services, and home health care for inpatients and outpatients.
More than 62, 000 elderly people who are unable to work live in Kamchatka Region, and about 1000 elderly and disable people receive home-visits from social welfare services. 469 people receive social services while hospitalized.
The system will be implemented jointly with the Ministry of Health of the Kamchatka region. In 2019, 280,000 USD will be invested by the Kamchatka Regional Government to implement the system.
