On December 7, 2016, the NEAR Secretariat held a meeting with a delegation from Mongolia headed by Natsag Bayarmunkh, a member of the Ulaanbaatar City Council, to introduce NEAR and discuss a cooperation plan.
Kwon Nam-won, Director of the Department of Public Affairs and Relations expressed his thanks for the support of the Mongolian delegation for encouraging Mongolian members to participate actively, and said that NEAR would support the sharing of information among NEAR members and also support the activities of the regional governments and councils of Mongolia.
