


Staffs seconded to the NEAR Secretariat visited Gyoengsangbuk-do Provincial office in the morning of December 10. The purpose of visit was to provide an opportunity to compare working conditions and culture of public officials in Korea with theirs and introduce cutting-edge E- government system of Korea.
The staffs paid a visit to data-processing center, the core of E-government system with a brief guide on buildings and facilities within the government office building such as the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council and the Fire Defense headquarters. They looked around the computing system and visited the place for computer education where
e-commerce education for farmer leaders is ongoing. They became close after they were aware of Korean e-government system.
In addition, they exchanged their opinions on international cooperative affairs visiting Global Trade Cooperation Division, the division in charge of NEAR in Gyeongsahgbuk-do Provincial office.
Staffs also visited E-World, a representative tourist attraction in Daegu where Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial office is currently located and climbed up the 83 tower to see a panoramic view of the city.
Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial office is scheduled to move to Andong City from Daegu Metropolitan City in the second half of 2015.
