The Northeast Asian Mayors’ Forum 2014 was held on August 18-19 in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. Themed "Sustainable and Inclusive Cities," based on green growth, Mongolian President and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia took part in the Forum. Mayors from 16 main cities, including Moskva, Tianjin, Pyeongyang, Niigata of China, Korea, Japan, North Korea, and Russia attended in the Forum, hosted by Mayor of Ulaanbaatar E.Bat-Uul. Hamgung, Rason city, and Wonsan of North Korea as well as Ulaanbaatar, a member region of NEAR participated in the Forum. NEAR Secretary General Kim Jae-hyo was invited to the Forum as a representative of the International organizations in Northeast Asia along with UNESCAP, ICLEI, ADB. The Forum was agreed to be held every two years in the future and the 2nd Forum will be held in Ulaanbaatar.
