Mr. Chen Jianguo Met Mr. Li Xiangqian


          On December 8 & 9 2006  Mr. Li Xiangqian, Chairman of Gyeongsangbuk-do Assembly of the

Republic of Korea headed the delegation to visit Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China for two

days. Mr. Chen Jianguo, Secretary-general of CPC Ningxia Committee, Chairman of Ningxia People`s

Congress met Chairman Li and his delegation members in the city of Yinchuan. This is the first time

that the NEAR Secretariat has promoted People`s Congress and Assembly to communicate each

other between NEAR full members.    

      Friendly communications between Ningxia and Gyeongsangbuk-do began in 1997. Since Ningxia

and Gyeongsangbuk-do established friendly relations in 2004, effective communications and coope-

ration have been realized in the sphere of youth communication, civil servants communication and

North-East affairs. (Ningxia)
