Background and Purpose

• At the 6th General Assembly in 2006, Henan Province proposed the establishment of the Subcommittee on Tourism and stated that it would act as coordinators. This was resolved at the 7th General Assembly in 2008. Furthermore, it was decided at the 12th General Assembly in 2018 that Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region would operate the Subcommittee on Tourism as joint coordinators. The Subcommittee on Tourism aims to share information on tourism of member regions through tour package fairs, promotion events, tourism cooperation forums among other events and promote tourism development, thereby accomplishing mutual benefits and joint development.

Major Activities

• Build a long-term, effective working partnership with member regional governments
• Function as an information sharing platform
• Build a framework of tourism exchange
• Establish a sustainable regional cooperation mechanism
